An Update From Our Founder + Happy 3rd Birthday!

Hi Beauty,

How are you? I hope this year is unfolding stunningly for you (in all its mess, growth, and with wide-eyed wonder).

You may have noticed that The Free Woman has been quiet on the site and social media over the past six months. It started as an unintentional break… then turned very intentional and proved to be much needed on many, many levels.

On a personal level, the last 18 months have been life defining and heart transforming. I’ll share more in the future, but in the meantime you can read some things I’ve learned in this Instagram post.

Because of these personal changes, The Free Woman started to feel like it needed to change and evolve too. Continuing it as is just didn’t feel right, yet I was unsure of what that even meant.

See, I don’t want “the free woman” or being a “free woman” to be a cool statement.

I want to actually be a free woman.

I want to live it, breathe it, embody it, and embrace the seasons where it may break me in order to mold me into a greater version of myself.

And I want you to be a free woman as well.

Over recent months I’ve been sitting on a new mission statement and preparing to post content again.

Today is our THIRD BIRTHDAY ????  so it feels like the perfect time to step into this new season and introduce this fresh direction with you:

“The Free Woman celebrates and encourages feminine hearts to lead lives of beauty, goodness, and justice in every area of influence.”

It echoes what The Free Woman has always set out to do since June 2014, but simply feels more succinct, mature, and purposeful. Most importantly, it feels oh so right!

I’m really excited for new content that is coming your way – from interviews to series, stories from women, and posts to inspire and lead your life well. I hope you’ll continue on this journey with us because it won’t be the same without you.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being a part of this and for your support.

Here’s to the beginning of something special.

Much love + gratitude,

  • Loving the new mission statement! It sums up what I love about The Free Woman perfectly. I’m excited for this fresh start and TFW is always growing and shifting just as we do. So happy & proud I get to be apart of this ?
